Quirky eco-manufacturer Remarkable attends Spring Fair International 2012

Innovative eco-inventor and philanthropist Ed Douglas Miller, who recently appeared on the Channel 4 show The Secret Millionaire, will be attending this year’s Spring Fair International event with his Remarkable colleagues.

Remarkable is an environmentally responsible UK manufacturer and supplier of recycled and eco-friendly stationery, gifts and original products. Owned by Ed Douglas Miller, the company uses an eco-manufacturing process to create new and inventive products from UK waste. Housed in a 30,000 sq ft classic old red brick factory in Worcester, powered by renewable energy, Remarkable employs over 30 members of staff and recycles over ten tonnes of UK waste materials every week.

The company has attended the UK’s leading retail trade event for several years and sees it as one of the highlights of the year to meet with both new and current retail customers.

Ed Douglas Miller explains: “Spring Fair International provides us with a great opportunity to meet directly with customers in the retail sector and talk to them about how we mix fun and stylish products with the ability to increase environmental awareness.  Each of our products comes with a fun eco-message, so the end-customer knows what it used to be in a past life – from biodegradable corn starch, to old plastic CD cases and recycled tyres.  A hallmark of Remarkable’s philosophy is that being environmentally friendly can be good fun too!

“This year we are delighted to launch our new children’s t-shirt emblazoned with “I am remarkable”, which is hoped to be the start of a fresh new clothing line.  It’s made from recycled polypropylene which can be used again afterwards as storage or a desk tidy.  In addition, we have also launched our new eco-plant designs, which contain compost made from recycled UK household and garden waste; green fingered fans can grow their own basil, busy lizzy, forget-me-not, pansy, or strawberry seeds.  We hope visitors to this year’s Spring Fair like our new products as much as we do!”

The Remarkable range features a variety of brightly coloured, quirky stationary – including notepads, rulers, pens and pencil cases – in addition to recycled clothing, eco house pot plants and recycled cotton shopping bags.

Ed and the Remarkable team can be found on stand 6P09 at the Spring Fair International event.  For more information, please visit www.remarkable.co.uk.
