British eco-manufacturer recycles waste packaging from Epson
and delivers back branded promotional products
Innovative eco-manufacturer, Remarkable, has secured a new contract through Roantree Promotional Marketing (Roantree), supporting Epson in its long-term commitment to social responsibility by supplying it with recycled promotional products produced from its own waste packaging materials. This is yet another success story for both Remarkable and Roantree, who are delighted to be working with the Japanese company, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of printing and imaging products and technologies.
Richard Andrews, Head of Promotional Marketing at Roantree, was approached by Epson to assist in creating a range of promotional items that would be made available to all of its marketing teams in the EMEA region. Andrews said, “This has been a really great opportunity to take innovative and creative products to market, with such a widely recognised global brand.”
One product included in the range put together by Roantree was a set of pencils designed and manufactured by Worcestershire-based Remarkable. The four pencils contained in this set were unique due to the fact that they were made from recycled Epson packaging material and printed in the four iconic colours that reflect the nature of Epson’s business– cyan, magenta, yellow and black.
An initial order of 20,000 units has already been produced for Epson and has proven to be so popular (especially in the Dutch and German markets) that the company is now looking for other promotional products that could be made from their own packaging waste. This includes stationary items, binders, pads and folders.
Roantree has been dedicated to delivering a high level of service to this client, and in addition to creating a range of promotional items using leading manufacturers such as Remarkable, has provided an associated ordering website, storage, fulfillment and distribution network which is handled by its distribution centre in High Wycombe.
Ed Douglas Miller, managing director and eco-inventor from Remarkable, explained, “We work with a large number of leading international brands around the world to help support their environmental policies and recycle their waste into new and useful everyday items.” He continued, “it’s always great to work closely with key suppliers like Roantree who are forward thinking and open to new and exciting ideas.”
This latest success story is yet another highlight of the year for Remarkable, with founder and inventor Ed Douglas Miller and his team constantly developing new product ideas and ways to safeguard the environment. “One of the greatest goals of Remarkable is to keep raising environmental awareness, continuing to innovate and create stylish products while inspiring others to start making small everyday changes,” explains Ed. “A hallmark of Remarkable’s philosophy is that being environmentally friendly can be good fun too!”
